A few years ago, “Sewphie” came to live with me, and I love her dearly.
She’s a beautiful little 1955 Singer 221 “Featherweight”, weighing in at 11.5 pounds.  Pretty petite for the work she can do.  I named her Sewphie in honor of my grandmothers Ida Sophie and Jeannette Sophia.  Well, Sewphie got a big sister today.
Meet my Singer 99K, built in Great Britain in 1957. Â She’s in lovely condition and sews a fine stitch also. Â At 22 pounds, she’s pretty much out of the portable range, as these machines were built to last and are built like little tanks.
I don’t have a name for her yet…all I can think of is Agent 99. Â Please help me! Â Can you think of a name for her? Â I bought her from a lady named Mae (Mavis).
Sue
I love Sewphie and agent 99
I hope to see you while you are here. Know you and Bertha will be busy.
