I finished the Madelinetosh (color: Mourning Dove) sock I’m making for my Dear (patient) Husband, and it fits him like it was made for him!
Now I’m ready to cast on the second sock, and it will make a perfect project for our bus trip to Paducah next week.
I was a little worried that I wouldn’t have enough yarn left to do a whole second sock. Â I usually make the leg portion between 6-7″ for myself, and I made this sock 7 1/2″. Â In addition, my husband’s foot is probably 1 1/2″ longer than my foot.
As I was finishing this sock, I could tell there was quite a bit more yarn in this sock than the ones I make for myself. Â The bad news? Â I bought this yarn a while back, and I haven’t had good luck finding the same yarn two or three years later.
The photo in the header of this post shows the gram weight of this sock…50 grams. Â I weighed my leftover yarn and it’s 58 grams! Â *whew*

LOVE! Beautiful work. Whew is right ~ always a relief to know there is enough remaining yarn for the second sock.
