I am making a shawl/neck wrap from sock yarn. I bought the yarn and pattern at Jenny K’s Twisted Loop yarn shop in Prior Lake, MN. (Jenny is one of those evil shopkeepers who has absolutely irresistible items made up in her shop, in exactly the right yarn — you want to make one of everything!)
I have more done than is shown in this photo, however it is just a bigger triangle of garter stitch — not worth another pic. Yarn is amazingly soft. After the center triangle of garter stitch, there is an easy lace, then a border. It’s going pretty quickly on size 6 needles, which is a wonderful change after several years of size 2 needles!
Yarn: Crock-O-Dye by Knit One, Crochet Too. Color 559. 65% superwash wool, 20% nylon, 15% silk.
Pattern: Aestlight Shawl by Gudrun Johnston. Available for download purchase on Ravelry.
What’s on your needles? Check out Judy Laquidara’s blog post to see what others are working on this week.
PS: After a very chaotic 2012 and a less-than-stellar first five months of 2013, I’m working through my house, turning clutter into order. Every Saturday I’ll share the best organizing tip I’ve found during the week, and I have one I LOVE for tomorrow. Be sure to stop back!
That is going to be one lovely shawl!
This pattern is on my to-do list (someday). It’s going to be gorgeous in that colorway!
