Minnesota Quilters’ Show

I went to the Minnesota Quilt Show today with friends, and saw lots of inspiring quilts.  Congrats to June Griepp on her ribbon — woo-hoo!!!  There were lots of amazing quilts, and of course a little shopping occurred along the way.

Fabric, thread, and pattern to make a vest, a quilt pattern and a book all found their way home with me.  I am missing sewing so much, it’s almost an ache.  I hope to squeeze in some sewing time soon.

Tomorrow will involve a trip to Mom’s apartment to turn over keys, and drive her car to our home; a couple more things checked off my list.

A rose from Mom’s bouquet sent by her brothers and sister — it was a little more lavender than the photo shows, and gorgeous:

It was so nice to see you out and about. We are so proud of “our” June.
