WELL! Â It’s been many moons since I posted (well, not MANY but about 1 1/2), so let me get right to it:
TRAVEL: Â We took a 10-day cruise out of Boston, visiting Maine, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. Â We had a wonderful time, but I took very few photos because the fall colors hadn’t happened yet, and due to some back issues, I didn’t bring my big camera. Â We traveled with two other couples (whom we love) so we had a fabulous time. Â A shot of our ship in Sydney, Nova Scotia:
QUILT SHOW: Â Our Prior Lake Quilt Guild had their second ever quilt show in October. Â I quickly finished a 10-year-old UFO I named My Charming Garden. Â Just four (if I remember right) charm packs sewn up with sashing and borders.
We had a Blue Ribbon section for any guild members that won a blue ribbon at past Minnesota State Fairs. Â I showed my Autumn Garden from 2010:
SEWING: Â Yes, I have been busy! Â I made a Swoon Patterns shopper’s tote (free pattern, by the way) for a friend. Â The link will take you to the free patterns, but you might want to check out the for-purchase patterns as well. Â They are a cut above!
I just made some Halloween card wallets for friends. Â They may get a coffee gift card slipped in before mailing. Â 🙂
And I did quilt and bind the green charm pack quilt I showed above. Â Now I’m busy doing some prep work on a 4-year-old wall hanging that has been ignored too long.
PHOTOS: Â Fall is always fun for photography. Â Some of my faves for the past month:
That’s it for now. Â Oh, Dear Hubster had a second hip replacement, so I forgot to show my nursing hat! Â (haha, he wishes he married a nurse) Â He is doing very well in spite of me.
