What’s on My Needles?

Since I will be traveling to Paducah, KY, for the AQS quilt show in a couple of weeks, I am already mentally packing and planning what handwork I want to take with me.  (I don’t know what I’m going to wear, but I know what I’m going to KNIT!!!)

This will be a bus tour package, so we will have about 1 1/2 days of bus time each direction…perfect for knitting!  Perfect for knitting socks, but only if you’re on the “straight-away”, not doing the heel, the gusset or the toe where you have to pay strict attention.

Lime Grape Sock_edited-1

This sock is knit out of Transitions by Gypsy Girl Creations, colorway Poconos.  I just need to finish the toe so I can cast on the second sock…then that new sock gets put aside for the bus.

Blue Sock_edited-1

This is Madelinetosh sock yarn in Morning Dove.  And the same deal with this sock:  I just need to add another 1/2″ or so, then do the toe.  I can then cast on the second sock for the bus.

All the socks I’ve made so far are from Cat Borhdi’s book, Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. What a perfect trip…….knitting while on the road to Paducah! Kind of jealous right now. 🙂
Love the Transitions yarn! I’ll have to search for that. Those are going to be great socks.
    Have fun on your trip.

  2. I LOVE the yarn in your first sock… Transitions! It’s funny… last night I watched a number of YouTube videos by Cat Borhdi. I’m going to have to get her book. The video’s are great!
