QUILTING: Â I ordered some fabric from Rosebud’s Cottage in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and it’s gorgeous! Â Three large pieces of Quilting Treasures by BJ Lantz. Â It’s for a mystery I’m now ready to start on.
WOOL FELT: Â Eleven ladies started working on DesignAndBeMary’s pin designs this week. Â I have my two layers nearly beaded (steep learning curve! Â none of us had ever beaded before!). Â We will meet again this week to carry us into the next steps.
MORE FUN: Â On the birding/photography side of my life, this was a very good week. Â A couple of my favorite birds…a green-winged teal, coming in for a landing:
and a juvenile white-faced ibis (his face isn’t white yet!):
Hope you’re having as much fun as I am!

Since Patrick is a friend, I responded to him by e-mail. In short: No, I’m not going to end my blog. It will likely continue to be sparse and erratic for a while, as I am doing a year-long daily photo project. It may morph into something different in the future, but for now, it’s still a photo/travel/knitting/quilting blog.
I think it is time to rename the blog “Featherplay Once In A Great While Maybe”. And the Monday thing could be “Design-Wall Some Day” . This reader thinks it is time to do it somewhat regularly or end it. Maybe the Facebook thing is enough?
The beading looks like a pretty embellishment. I’ve never tried it either so I’m interested to see how this project develops further. Pretty fabrics for the mystery. Great bird action shots. How long did you have to wait for them?
That beading looks like an interesting challenge and the bird pictures are full of interesting detail. Glad you’re having fun!
