My, my, my, I’ve been a delinquent blogger. Â Photography has seriously encroached on the rest of my life. Â Well, I have a new dslr camera…steep learning curve…and I’m trying to dig deeper into PhotoShop and Light Room. Â I’ve joined the 365 Project (bird icon on my right sidebar), and I’ve been uploading at least one photo daily. Â Fun and work at the same time.
So where does that leave quilting? Â Definitely in the back seat but not in the trunk! Â I’m still sewing and knitting.
PROJECTS:
A finished quilt:
This is from Prairie Sky’s book “Matchmaker”, a collection of four easy and fun patterns. Â I used my collection of black & white fabrics, added a red FQ, and found a border fabric I love.
I’ve finished some tops (both quickies from kits):
And I have my Cowgirl Boots quilt on the long arm…a work in progress:
And I’ll cover knitting on Friday.
A PLEA:
AND I’d like to rename my blog to better reflect my interests. Â My blog address will always be the same: Â www.suehecker.com/blog
What I’m talking about is the name in the banner. Â It was Featherstone Quiltworks. Â I’m testing Featherstone Playhouse but I don’t really like it. Â Featherstone Photos & Fabrics? Or maybe drop the “Featherstone”? Â Help me! Â Leave a comment for me with any suggestions…there will be prizes!

ps: Â We have Milo the rent-a-dog for a week! Â Photo in header.

Featherstone Photos, Fabrics, and Fun. I know you always enjoy what you are doing, at least most of the time.
That matchmaker is great use of fabrics – love the result!
Have you considered simply combining it to Featherplay? It sounds fun, and long arm-ish. And you could use a byline like ‘tracking feathers with quilts and photography’
Well, something like that anyway!

Wow you’ve been busy! How about Featherstone Fun House? 🙂
Oh and I forgot to say… those quilts are LOVELY!
Plug the word hobby into a Thesaurus and see if anything tickles your fancy…
Maybe Featherstone Quest… you don’t have to be tied down to one particular subject matter or hobby as it were… go forth and explore!
