I’ve been “gone” for a while, thanks to a computer that picked up cooties somewhere along the way. It looks like we’re healthy again, so this is a bit of a catch-up post.
Quilting: I’ve devoted 100% of my sewing/quilting time lately to completing my drunkard’s path quilt (made with the templates and layout pattern from Elisa’s Backporch).
Bird Pictures: This has been the view out our windows for what seems like forever:
I know we’re lucky — we aren’t flooding, we aren’t farming so we aren’t struggling to get into the fields, so I kinda hate to complain…BUT, it really makes it hard to take bird pictures! The downy woodpecker is a regular at my peanut butter/suet feeder:
The female hummingbirds have been here, then gone for a week or two, and now they’re back. They brought back a boy with them:
Lots more keeping me busy. 40th wedding anniversary yesterday (Jim said he would renew my contract for another year, so that’s a good thing). Minnesota Quilt Show a week and a half ago (post to come on that). Working on our redecorating project in the house. Have family coming into town for the upcoming holiday weekend. Oh, I know there’s more going on that that, but I’m kind of a blank.
Oh, there’s the Farmer’s Wife Sampler blocks that I’m behind on again. My sewing room reorganization stalled out and I need to get that up, running and done this week. And there’s all the projects for the county and state fairs that I plan on finishing!
What am I doing at the computer? I have lots of work to do! Before you get back to work, be sure to check out Patchwork Times and see what other quilters are working on this week.
And as always, thanks for stopping by.
