Today’s Puzzle

It’s springtime, and everybody’s hungry.  In the past two weeks, I’ve seen the following at our bird feeder or eating the crab apples in the same tree:  Cardinals, a Squirrel, Robins, Squirrel, Red-Winged Blackbirds, Squirrel, House Finches, Squirrel, Brown-Headed Cowbirds, Squirrel, Chickadees, Squirrel, Dark-Eyed Juncos…and a rat in a fur coat:

But it’s been worth putting up with the rat when I see one of my invited guests, a female or juvenile House Finch:
