I don’t mind though, because I find these half-done flowers strangely attractive. Maybe it’s because I identify with them.
Maybe it’s because they have personality.
Or character.
I’m pretty sure the Monarch thinks this flower is just as beautiful as it was earlier in the season.

Greetings from a different Mary in the Twin Cities! The butterflies and hummingbirds in my yard seem to love the faded flowers the best, perhaps they are sweeter. I have enjoyed seeing some of you lovely quilting at shows. Very nice blog, glad I stopped by!
