Monday’s “Design Wall”

I have a fun quilt on the floor at the bottom of the stairs, patiently waiting to be stitched together.  Click here last week’s post and picture on this quilt.   It MUST be sewn together this week so I can get it off the floor!!!

On my longarm is a quilt I did some time ago.  Click here for a picture.  It’s from a free pattern on Judy Laquidara’s site, and I believe she calls it something like “Out of the Bag”.  Super easy and super fun, plus it’s a great stash buster.  Now it’s finally getting quilted!  To find the pattern, go to Judy Laquidara’s site, Patchwork Times, and under “Free Patterns and Projects”, click on “Out of the Bag”.

And my crab tree out our kitchen window is just about ready to explode into bloom, quite a bit earlier than normal due to the early spring we’re enjoying.  C’mon, Hummingbirds!!!

  1. I love it! Perfect for the fabric – gold and all. I tried the big template a while ago and probably used cheap fabric, but gave up after 2 blocks. Maybe I should try again.
On a side note: you remember back when you had the Sue at the fair giveaway – and I won your Gypsy Rose layer cake? It took me forever to decide which pattern to use, but now I have the blocks done. Go take a peak – and hopefully you ‘approve’! The pattern is from the Moda Bake shop.

  2. Please email me the pattern of your dishcloths. they are beautiful and I am ready to try a new pattern. I like to do something mindless in the morning when I sit down to have a cup of coffee, before leaving for the office. What kind of yarn did you use? I also like the yarn colors on your socks. I haven’t picked up my socks to knit on since Port A. Eileen
