Other than fabric, I’d have to say we collect playing cards from the different places we visit. Although last summer on our 44 day, 25 state drive across America, we decided we weren’t going to buy playing cards at each stop.

(?) TEAPOTS !! You let the cat out of the bag. Now I might have to count them as it might be more like 50. If you looked in my shop, you might think that I collect screwdrivers (I really don’t but I have a bunch). Now screwdrivers might be a good idea for a give away prize.

Mostly I collect fabric! But I also have a long-standing assortment of rhinos scattered around the house, dating back about 40+ years.

I collect “Angel things”. Angel plaques, an Angel wallhanging I made, Angel pins, even an Angel children’s book. I also collect old dishes and kitchen gadgets. These are best when I knew the person who owned them before me. Handwritten recipe book in German from my husband’s great grandmother. Enamelware. An antique rocker from my girlfriend’s father. And, I have a small herd of vintage/antique sewing machines. Lots of treadles, a few handcranks, and several vintage electric I sew with all the time. Those old black Singers. Yes, I have a love for them too. One from my husband’s grandmother, one from a lady across town who moved to the nursing home. One from my childhood friend’s mother. I guess you could say I’m into “nostalgia!”

Elephants have always amazed me and so I started a collection of them. I have several and they all have a special meaning for me. I only collect elephants with the trunks turned upward as that means good luck. Since I have so many in my collection I now have to really love the figurine before I buy it. I may need another curio cabinet!
